Adam Foye

With sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Dr. Adam Foye on July 30, 2026, in Burlington.

Adam is survived by his wife Marion (nee Davidson), sons Steven (Katrina), Douglas and Kevin (Tara), grandchildren Caelan, Mackenzie, Tavia, Kayla, Keegan, and Marlee, and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends in Canada, and back home in Scotland.

After immigrating from Scotland in 1973 Adam spent many years in the Peel Halton Soccer League with his final playing years in the Burlington Old Timers ca. 1988 – 2002. Adam was a life-long football player, coach and fan, often seen on the sidelines after his playing days were over watching his sons play rep, house league, and in the BSL . He coached in Peel Halton and Hamilton Wentworth Soccer Leagues and for many indoor seasons in Burlington (famously boasting that he invented goal line wall placement which apparently, at the time, was thought to be cheating by other coaches). We miss you Dad; We thank you for all you’ve provided us over the years. On yer bike son! We’ll keep winning for you. All our Love. Arrangements have been made for a gathering to be held from 3-5pm on August 29th, 2026, at the Smiths Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donation to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Association of Canada is appreciated.
